How to Create Business Core Values
The other day I told my husband I am going to make a million dollars in 2025. We were laying in bed and he said, “like over the next 3 years?!” with a little bit of disbelief in his voice. And I said, “no, in the year 2025 I’m going to make a million dollars that year.” He was quiet for a few moments and then said, “but…how???”
I rattled off a bunch of things I’ve had on my mind of where I want my coaching business to go over the next three years and said, “and in 2025 I’ll be at the million dollar mark!”
So, how did I get to this place in my business?

Manage your overwhelm, consistently.
Managing your level of overwhelm is no joke. Especially when you’re in a chronic state of overwhelm. You’re living in this low vibration buzz of agony and spinning in circles. Getting out of overwhelm seems like an impossible task.
I’m here to tell you it's not impossible AND that I have a solution to help you!
How a canceled photo session gave me abundance
My itty bitty sh*tty committee came out and told me all the things I should be doing. Instead of getting stuck in the yuck I grabbed a coffee and went for a walk. On my walk I thought about how I wanted the situation to go and what I learned. Learning from the “crap” gives us perspective and allows us to process in a way that lets us learn.
Top Tips to Relieve Overwhelm in Small Business
“HELP! I feel like I’m drowning and I don’t know what to do. I have all these ideas and I can’t act on any of them because they’re all intertwined. What do I do?!?!” - me last week to a friend & mentor.
Her answer: “take some time off”
WHAT?! I’m trying to grow a business, not go on vacation. How can I stop when I need to move forward on this stuff??
I was freaking out at the thought of “not being productive” and “not getting things done.” We live in a society that praises you the busier you are. But in that freak out I was also doing the things that I was afraid of NOT doing! I wasn’t being productive nor was I getting anything done.
Combating overwhelm
My coach asked me questions that others in my support system didn’t know that I needed to be asked (I didn’t know I needed to be asked those questions). My coach asked me questions that helped me process and think about situations and business growth in a new light.
My journey into coaching
What if you started telling yourself that you are worthy of clients purchasing from you?
What if you started telling yourself that customers are everywhere all the time and you just need to tell people about your business?
What could all of those thoughts do for you?
Think about all of the growth you could experience from simply shifting your thoughts!!! Did you sit up a little bit taller when you thought about being successful, worthy and open to growth?
Tips for Starting Your Service Based Business
Now that I’ve run two successful service based businesses (three if you include coaching!) I have a plethora of information that I give to my clients. But more often than not, when I am coaching my clients I get to listen to what my clients are saying and ask more in depth questions to help them discover exactly what it is that they need from their business. Everyone’s business needs are slightly different and unique. I can give you every piece of advice and worksheet out there but ultimately it comes down to you digging in and doing the work. Giving answers to some of the hard questions, showing up for yourself and your business and knowing what it is you want to do and why. Now, you might be asking, then WHYYYYYY would I invest in coaching?!
Making the leap into business
So…you did a thing and started a business. Kind of. Mostly, anyway. You started telling your friends and family that you are going to do this really amazing thing. You’re really good at it and it’s time to start making some $$ doing it. You chose a name, you’ve got the social media thing going, maybe even invested in an LLC and a website and you’ve got all of your gear. You chose the colors for your brand and you’ve been checking the boxes but still something is…missing. Something just doesn’t feel totally right.
